Anti-Authoritarian. Inclusive. Odd. A fan of whimsy and good-natured nonsense. A devotee of Dionysos, the Greek God of rebirth, transformation, tragedy, comedy, unresolved paradox, and wine.
I've got a copy of my own on the way, but I wanted to ask if anyone else was familiar with Manly P Hall's essay on the Tarot? can you tell me how closely it aligns with the Knapp deck?

Does anyone out there use suit/element attributions OTHER than those taught by the Golden Dawn?

Watching Trump supporters go from "He'd never do that, stop fear-mongering" to "There's nothing wrong with doing that, stop bellyaching" in real time is weird. It's like the Orwellian idea of doublethink taken up to 11. The whole world is just a parody of itself anymore.

Anyone out there know a lot about the Knapp-Hall Tarot deck? I have some questions about that particilar version of The World.

I'm tired of living in a world where *interesting* things happen.

I just want to quietly work on my system of mapping pip cards onto astrological decans (it neccessarily hinges on determining the correct elemental attribitions of the suits).

But the outside world has a way of insisting on itself.

"Surely this arm could smite
The wild earth with its thyrsus, day and night,
And faint not! Sweetly and forgetfully
The dim years fall from off me!"

"Who lingers in the road? Who espies us?
He shall hide him in his house nor be bold.
Let the heart keep silence that defies us;
For I sing this day to Dionysus
The song that is appointed from of old."

A lot of people are confused about what's happening in our government right now. To help folks understand the situation, I've put together this little visual explanation which I think sums things up pretty well...

Look, I know it's not a popular opinion, but I don't care. I freaking LOVE the Sgt Peppers Lonely Heart Club Band movie.
