Dragon Quest on Nintendo DS
Before digital downloads, the DS was the only way that I played Dragon Quest titles outside of the NES. My first experiences with V, VI (both of which I don't own at the moment) and IX were all on this awesome little portable system.

Like Square, I left Nintendo during the 5th Generation, frustrated that they stayed with game paks instead of moving to optical media. Therefore, I got to play FFVII at release. I still prefer the 16 bit gen entries, but I can't deny 7s popularity and impact.
