I finished annotating (most of) the translation with 8-4's assistance. I skipped a couple unfinished parts, but it's enough for the translator to properly start work on Monday! Yay!

Today's the day! So excited that this movie is finally out in the world. I'm so proud of the work we've done making this the biggest and best Sonic movie yet. It's an absolute labor of love from everyone involved and the perfect way to cap off a great year for Sonic and Shadow.

tumblr is dying and the engagement is shit but at least i don't have to worry about people calling me a lazy ableist because i don't have the spoons to write alt text on all of my art and most likely never will

and like it's awesome for so many abled ppl to care about accessibility but when other disabled artists are getting blocked for not writing it i think maybe keeping all of my art on the one very shaky platform i've been on for nearly a decade already and nowhere else isn't too bad

also no i'm not putting my art into a website that has an ai describe it are you fucking insane how are people spreading this idea without noticing the blaring red flags that concept immediately starts waving around at top speed in the current internet art climate

i think after seeing how hostile ppl get over artists not writing alt text i have changed my mind about posting my stuff here lol. sorry but nowadays i rarely have the energy/spoons to draw at all let alone add extra steps that require brainpower to something that would otherwise be a single button

for real though i've witnessed some clashes/have had a couple of people be... unkind about this, and i kind of need the "alt text 100% of the time or you're ableist" crowd to re-examine their positions just... a smidge. 🫠 doesn't feel super inclusive to hear "don't post if you're low on spoons"
p.s. i am disabled and sometimes can't do alt text as a result of pain & brain fog. sorry. i try. if you alt stuff for me, that's cool of you-- just don't be passive-aggressive or condescending about it please!! 🫠 (i know about alt-for-me; strangers would have no context for a lot of my stuff lol)

the weirdest thing to readjust to over here is that i can search for things and look at quotes JUST through the app now. i havent updated the bird app in so long that i literally lost that functionality so now i’m looking at all these very basic features and getting surprised when they actually work
