Had a great evening at the Wild Night Run by Wild Running on #Dartmoor . Beautiful course with the middle section (open moor, broken terrain, discreet marking) really playing to my strengths.

Great fun!

Morning #teacher5oclockclub ! Only slight rain on the ride in, a completely dry commute feels somewhat mythical at present.

Odd assortment of kit for today's lessons - a lot of cake, copper wire, a variety of tools and if my Blue Peter skills are up to it, a cardboard nuclear reactor #thisisAP

Morning #teacher5oclockclub ! It's a three site day so in early to get jobs done at site 1 before maybe teaching at site 2. Then onto exam entries issues at site 3.

Going to involve a fair bit of tea ☕

Have a good day all!

Router optimisation for race timing number 521 done.... (Maybe a slight exaggeration but it definitely feels like it).

Should solve the problems from today.... I hope! Times were correct and everything was recorded, but couldn't get the information out to riders as fast as I would have liked.

Soggy Bottom round 2, living up to it's name today. Kids races are much busy than normal, which is good! New WiFi is holding up too

Spent the best part of an hour troubleshooting a network, getting quite annoyed with some hardware.

Turns out it wasn't the hardware, I had left a static IP on my laptop from a previous job 🙄

It's a bit damp.... ☔

At least all the water butts are full

Anyone else at #BETTUK2026 from the south west looking at travel difficulties later?

Weighing up options - if there's a few of us maybe worth car hire

Anyone come across any good reading assessment tools at #BETTUK2026 ?

On a 3D printer hunt too.

It's almost time for TeachMeet BETT 2026. Kicking off the 20th year of Teachmeets. No sign up needed to attend, you'll just need a Bett Show ticket to get into ExCel. We'll be in the Table Talk area.

Analysing behaviour data to find the most popular locations pupils have going for a sneaky wee (not in the toilets) was really not the data analysis I imagined I would be doing this evening.....

#edusky #thisisap there's quite a bit about education. Very thought provoking episode.

Enjoyable is probably the wrong word, absorbing is closer to it.

Whilst I have very mixed feelings about using AI to code, it has enabled me to code a #python script to process sportive race results and send SMSs in a fraction of the time it would have taken me otherwise....

A lot of manual checking/changing, but still a lot faster
