Yes, I read about the Intern in NYC in Bloomsburg a while back. He tried to lure him into sex. I think this is the only one I was aware of. Compared to the multitude of women and girls, he caused damage to their lives.

It’s hard not to think that if epstein had been abusing boys the way he abused girls, those (men) in power would have moved heaven and earth to stop him, simply because they would have seen themselves in those victims. Almost like a hierarchy of sexes.
Sorry, couldn't bother to capitalise the name.

Be sceptical of religion without wishing harm on believers. Celebrating threats against innocent Muslims or Christians, especially children who haven't had the chance to choose a belief, is disturbing.
As an Atheist, I believe morality comes from shared humanity and empathy.

To be a racist, one has to be a liar first.

It would be interesting to understand what psychiatrists and psychologists have written about this type of conspiracy thinking and how people drawn to such theories often end up supporting movements like Brexit, Trump, and, regardless of their own background, aligning with supremacist ideologies.

Think of religion as the HR department of ineffective governance. It convinces people that tolerating bad governance and suffering is acceptable, reassuring them they have God's attention at a future date, while framing it as either divine will or a test of their faith.

The worship of money and admiration for the wealthy explain why many remain silent about those connected to a notorious child abuser. It's a disturbing reflection of our values.

Only those who haven't seen war or made sacrifices for others will speak like draft dodgers.

The cruelty is the point.

When this time passes, the deradicalisation of people who championed this cruelty will be an uphill battle.
The wet dreams of the nastiest amongst us have been actualised by the nastiest leader.

Something I find fascinating.
Genesis 6 :6 - 7: God “regrets” making humanity and sends the Flood.
1 Samuel 15:11: God “regrets” making Saul king.
But, Isaiah 46:9-10 tells us this same God is said to be omniscient, knowing all things, including the future.
Alright, then.

One of the main reasons trump won was that many people didn't think this whole chaos would affect them; the same can be said for Brexit.

The sad reality is that media owners benefit from putting him in power. Their profits/dividends rely on exploiting workers, and working-class women, and people with disabilities will suffer most.

trumpism is Christian fundamentalism:
– God using deeply flawed men (David, Jacob) as “divine instruments”
– Children dying are framed as God’s will, example; the Egyptians, 1st born/Amalekites.
– Suffering is seen as deserved punishment. Amos 3:6 or Isaiah 45:7
– God has favourite nations.

It often seems that some people want to benefit from a bad situation rather than improve it. Their complaints stem from feeling excluded from those benefits.

Talking with a pastor today, it hit me: many Christians may subconsciously see Trump as echoing traits of the biblical God; wealthy, loves gold, harsh yet framed as loving (think Job), demands loyalty, favours certain groups, and inspires unwavering devotion.

Never underestimate the addictive pull of racism, tribalism, and jealousy. It’s said to hit like heroin, though its side effects are infinitely more destructive.

Trumpism has demonstrated how individuals with poorly informed beliefs can reinforce and encourage each other worldwide.

I don’t understand the PM sometimes. I’m genuinely not sure whether he’s just being extremely lawyerly or trying to appeal to Farage supporters. If it’s the latter, he’s mistaken; they’ll always choose the full-fat over the semi-skimmed version.
If the former, curbing Human Rights is not a good idea

+ He endorsed Farage—the same Farage who had moaned about foreign interference in British politics.
Crickets from the said Farage.

The strange thing I've noticed lately is how some people present their emotion-driven opinions as if they were common sense, despite lacking any real knowledge behind them other than strong feelings and emotions.
December 10, 2025 at 11:00 AM
Is Farage, through his comments about Manning, essentially saying that it's acceptable to be racist because it was considered acceptable at the time he was doing it?

Is it that nasty people are now in charge, or that people are now ok with elevating stupid people to punish others.
December 5, 2025 at 10:35 AM
Correct, and the polls forecasting the Danish capital's election also suggest otherwise, as voters previously drawn to this type of politics now demand the 'full fat' rather than the 'skimmed milk' version.

The President's immense, even kamikaze-like, fear of losing face is a trait born of malignant narcissism that drives a constant and deliberate distortion of the truth, evasion and obfuscation. The only redeeming factor is that he's American.
