It seems like a bleak time for artists, but if you read the room, almost nobody appreciates AI art. People still want art from real people. Keep making art! Keep sharing art! And consumers of art - credit original artists, and don't expect free labor.
Seriously, creative folks: Don't be afraid to let people know your stuff is out there for them, or worry that "now is not the time for that." People are stressed and freaked out and looking for the things that will give them a moment of rest and joy. It is EXACTLY the time for what we do. Tell them.

It is the most wintry part of winter, in zone 6a, so what does my tropical, epiphytic #Phalaenopsis amabilis do? She blooms, of course. Out of PURE SPITE. Or it's a cry for help, either way she turned 3 this last December so I must be doing something right

And NO I won't let them be free, they are non-releasable and not native to my zone, they will DIE in the wild since they never learned how to hunt or hibernate! /s

People who say "Well, they should have followed the law" to a situation in which a law is oppressive are not good people. Following a law does NOT equate to following morals, ethics, compassion. More and more I keep seeing laws that are incompatible with normal life.

I have a fun new reading challenge - will I finish the #HarlanCoben novel before it gets made into a #Netflix series? To be fair, I've enjoyed every one so far - I'm not even mad, that's amazing!
