Did you know that on #Arma3 Tanoa, you can set a date and time when the sun is directly overhead, making shadows disappear? It's called the subsolar point and happens twice a year within the tropics. Try it out!

✨ TIL that China uses its own constellations, and even has a unique system of star designations. For example, Alpha Centauri is 南門二, meaning Southern Gate 2. This system predates the Western one by hundreds of years.

On this day 20 years ago, I released Nightmare, my third mission for #OperationFlashpoint. It was my first work I promoted using movie-like posters, in an era when everyone else used low-res screenshots. Might've even started a trend back then.

Finally had time to play Rookie, a short scenario by Václav 'Sarge' Kerber. It's a remake of his #Arma3 mission of the same name, but even though I knew what was coming, the tense atmosphere still spooked me. Give it a try!

I grew up with C&C games, so I love seeing them receive Steam Workshop support and have their source code published for free.

I'm not surprised that it took a modder—Luke Feenan—to spearhead this project.

Game dev, as always, is about people sharing their passion ❤️

Of 13k+ games released on Steam in 2024, only 13% used a proprietary engine, yet they made up 42% of the revenue!

But the tide is shifting, as more and more big studios abandon their well-established engines in favor of Unreal.

As for us, #EnfusionEngine is here to stay!

I've seen several people not making the connection until recently, so here's a reminder:

Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis is the first Arma game.

The series was renamed due to publisher disputes, but still builds on the milsim grandfather you so fondly remember.

1) Start the game to see if a bug is fixed.
2) Keep playing and lose track of time for an hour.
3) Forget to check the fix (or what the bug was in the first place).
