I've been running a board game event for almost a year, and a new attendee asked me this question.

"Why do you run this event? Are you launching something?"

They were so surprised that I spent my time and money running an event with no goal other than fostering community. It's so rare now.

Board games are art. ETERNAL DECKS combines the ancient with the modern through design. It's a stunner; it's also a heck of a game. See for yourself.

Back to back to 5 player games of Dead of Winter. I survived the apocalypse both times with plenty of drama unfolding along the way.

The hardest thing for ANY tabletop game is just getting people to know the game exists. Awareness. And if you're an indie maker? Oof - it's so difficult.

Anyway - here's a new project from a fabulous designer (and person) who makes RPGs that sometimes make me feel sad in a good way. :)
Lots of really big crowdfunding campaigns and preorders launching today. Here's to tossing in my little project!

You can find RITE: A Midwinter Sacrament #TTRPG #zine below. You can grab it for $7 and receive it before the bleak midwinter.

7 day campaign. Thanks for sharing.
Coming soon: RITE: A Midwinter Sacrament RPG Zine
An RPG Zine for up to four players participating in four sacraments during the bleak midwinter.

They said it couldn't be done, but I actually won a game of The Mind for the first time yesterday. 3 players. 10 levels. One attempt.

Nerves began jangling. The very fabric of the universe started to tear before my eyes. But I held strong and played my cards in ascending numerical order.

First play. Slay the Spire board game.

This is a cooperative dungeon crawling deck builder. Upgrade your deck and take down bad guys.

It does a great job of emulating the feel of the videogame (compliment) while streamlining gameplay.

Act One complete. Looking forward to continuing the journey!

Blue Prince is a videogame about exploring a manor to find a mysterious 46th room with big board game energy.

The catch? This building's layout changes each day and as you explore you decide how to arrange the rooms.

It slowly reveals new secrets, rooms and puzzles to solve. It's calmly addictive.

Finally dipped into Balatro this weekend.

For those who don't know, it's poker x deck building x roguelike. Play poker hands, upgrade your cards, level up the power of the hands and try to overcome increasing scores.

Second play made it to the final boss but fell short. This could get addictive.
