Why do we play games? For me it's to connect with other people and find joy through shared experiences. I'm not the only person at a table and the group matters to me more than any individual game.

If you can take anything away from my ramblings it's that you should care about every space you're a part of.
Both those you run and those you attend.
Community spaces always matter to someone. More than you know. My community have told me that and I certainly feel it.

Free means there isn't a financial barrier beyond getting to the venue. Remove commerce where you can.
I basically long for a world with more spaces that prioritise kindness and simply being together.

I'm privileged enough that I can make my event free, have space to host it and have a game collection I can share.
There are few social events for adults that are alcohol free. I wish it wasn't as rare.
