I read books n stuff
First proper business book I’ve read. It’s sloppily self published with a ton of blank pages, grammatical errors, and weird math. I don’t think I learned much I couldn’t have figured out on my own if I really thought ab the problem. But I found it’s earnestness charming

Absolutely fantastic. If you read one book on the early American republic, it should be this one. I’m just going to trust everything Gordon Wood writes tbh

Just finished this book. Extremely mediocre presidential biography which serves as a fine intro to TJ if you know nothing v little ab him. Brought down by the fact that the author likes TJ too much. Highlights are the discussions on TJ’s v interesting religious views.

I become more and more certain about this as I work my way through an incredibly mediocre Thomas Jefferson biography
Increasingly convinced that the best biographies come from those who write about people they hate at least a little bit

FINALLY finished this book. Took forever with the move and everything. Could have been titled “All the ways the south tried to break away before the civil war.” Spends very little time talking ab slaves and Indians as people, which is to be expected of a book like this from 1960

The revolutionary period in America is so interesting bc there’s so many figures in it (Thomas Jefferson, Thomas Paine, Samuel Adams, etc) that just do not gain any meaningful political power if they were born in any other point in American history

The most infuriating part of learning about the Clinton presidency is finding out that the media went out of there way to focus on the quaintest, most typical American politician stuff ever and not what actually mattered

Eggplant is very yummy but unfortunately it seems it impossible for it not to turn into mush when cooking it

Just finished Danganronpa and I have to say, the overall mystery and twists in some of the trials were fun but I just don’t think it’s a very good game. Would be a 6/10 but downgrading to 4/10 for the transphobia

Reading about Gödel’s Loophole (that there is an unknown fundamental logical flaw in the Constitution that could be used to implement a legal dictatorship) is so funny bc every time Gödel tried to tell someone about it they just went "shut up nerd" and they were right!

If you want to read just one (1) book on the political history of the American Revolution, I recommend this book by John Ferling

After much time considering how exactly to make fun of DelCo people, I’ve settled on the next sentence to say with a comically thick delco accent is “Do yous guys wanna get some water and hoagies from WaWa and head down to the shore?”
