I don't often write poetry but when I do, it's usually sad!! no apologies!!

Sometimes you gotta look up.

The Nile is kind of a landmark Mesa venue, especially if you were a 2010's emo, pop punk kid. We love her. She's something else.

I think it's important to preface the poetry posts with the fact that my approach to writing is typically through fiction. I much prefer to make up characters because fictional people are infinitely more interesting.

However, the first poem isn't that.

But most of the other poems will be.
