I did more testing with Dex’s teleport feature to see what more cool VP pictures people would be able to take. Most things outside of the map have no collision but sometimes there is and you can get to some really cool places for screenshots 💙

And just like that, I got sidetracked using Dex and DAVE to go to places I shouldn’t be allowed to go to and got absolutely nothing done for my sky mod. I have nothing to show for my time wasted except me running around the unused epilogue soundstage

Anyways, today’s progress restored light in Rivain’s lava cave and has it blend with the cloudy sky nicely. With all the dark areas fixed, next big thing is making sure all cutscenes play nice with the new sky and the this mod will be 100% playable instead of only being used for screenshots

Well I couldn’t figure out the rain but I did learn a lot in what goes into dark areas of a map and I think with this new knowledge, I can actually go back to my Arlathan at night mod and restore light to the super dark areas in the forest

Mkay. Now that I’m home I can either fine tune the cloudy sky to make it perfect, test cutscenes or somehow add rain to a map that didn’t have it originally. 2 of those options are reasonable things to work on but naturally I’m going to go for the hardest one. Let’s see if I can make it rain

In other news, I finally figured out /why/ my cloudy Rivain sky crashes when I try to change this one specific thing. Hopefully it’ll end up being an easy fix.(famous last words)

Welp. I did zero work on Rivain’s sky because I got sidetracked making cut endgame/after credits content play in my game. I am truly incapable of staying focused if I’m given a whiff of something new and exciting.

For the no clip/teleport feature for Dex’s next update, there was a constant issue of the game auto teleporting you back since it kept thinking we were falling. So I got rid of it. Behold! Rook can jump from any height now and can finally swim.

A feature I think I want to add with Dex’s next update is a dropdown box that has every animation in the game and you can select which one you want Rook to do so we can have more poses for photomode. I can’t be the only one that thinks this is a good idea

I told myself I’d keep chipping away at why overcast Rivain crashes when I try to change one specific thing once work was done and yet… I just want to lay down and watch silly Chinese romance dramas until I drop my phone on my face from accidentally falling asleep. Where did all the motivation go 😭
