Global ICE sales peaked in 2016 at 80.47 million autos and fell to 62.05 million in 2024! They will fall further as EV sales continue to grow around the World.

EV sales may be 30 million in 2028, pushing ICE below 50 million.

The number of children injured or killed by cars while walking or riding a bike has fallen steadily since the 1970s, but CDC researcher note that this decline is not because streets are safer, but because fewer kids are out and about in the first place.
Kids need freedom. Dangerous roads make it hard to grant it.
Bigger cars, distracted drivers and worried parents mean fewer kids are roaming freely.

It’s not just about what you remove (cars, noise, dirty air). It’s about what you add (people walking, a lot of bike parking, trees, outdoor dining, and room for kids to play safely). Amsterdam: 1986 and today.

Streets for people.

30–40% of US corn goes to ethanol, which requires a land area equivalent to the state of Mississippi. But this only generates 6% of our transportation fuel. Meanwhile, land, water and food systems are strained.
