I need to clean my house, and start another load of laundry. The sink is full of dishes, the floor needs swept, and I’ll need to start dinner soon. But, Cooper is comfy. . .

I haven’t been #knitting as much, I figured out why. I went to a meeting where other knitters had their projects out a few weeks ago. They had beautiful, intricate projects, I had a sock. . . and a crochet hexi-cardigan that smelled like my dogs so I left it in the bag. I lost my mojo. 😩

My Alexa keeps striking up conversations with me out of the blue & I am not here for it! Today she told me I was old and it is a wonder to her that I am tech savvy enough to talk to her! Wow!😮 Look, I am an 80’s girl, I know what happens when Skynet becomes self-aware.

Something is seriously wrong with me. This week I started studying 100 year old death certificates to find burial locations—and now I’m reading them out of sheer curiosity/horror. What happened?? Why??

Y’all. . . I just found out that #Knitsky is a thing and now I have more yarny friends to follow! Yay!! Sock #1 done, still working out toe up knitting. I have to finish its mate by Monday. Uggh!

New socks off the needles! The first is my “Neapolitan Shorites” because the yarn reminds me of the ice cream. The second is only half done (single sock) and they’re called “Quilted Scrappy Socks” but they should really be called “Knit Purl Nightmare” because I hate purling. Hahaha

I may have just chased some poor woman down the street at work today because I thought her dog was a Griffy and I wanted to pet it. Of course, said dog was a labradoodle not a Griffy & was terrified of the crazy colonial lady coming at it. But, yeah, that happened. Pic of my Griffy mix for context.

Latest socks completed. Plain vanilla, contrasting cuff, heel, and toe. Knitted on size US1 needles.

When you volunteer to type up meeting minutes, and then your micromanaging a-hole of a supervisor insists on retyping it, adding his name about 20 more times, and then sending them out himself while telling me to go clean something. And now I’m spending my evening crying and hating how stupid I am.

I’ve been on vacation this week. I finished knitting my “4th of July” socks and have been puttering around on a colorwork sock pattern called “Gelato Socks.” Do you knit socks? Have you done colorwork before?
