Here's a really good compilation of evidence for masking. A FIT-tested N95 is better than a surgical/procedure mask which is better than a cloth mask. And masks work best when used by the person infected with the virus. jamanetwork.com/journals/jam...

The Canadian sports fan in me loves this! 🥳
I'm not a huge football fan, but enthusiastically cheer on the RedBlacks in person once or twice a year, and watch the Grey Cup.
Whenever I happen to catch the SuperBowl, I'm always shocked by how boring the NFL game is.
Excerpt from @TheEconomist comparing the NFL and the CFL:

“Canadian football has one huge advantage: it is a better game.” #GreyCup

Remembrance Day needs to be about people's lived and remembered experiences of war. How DARE we say that it can only be about older, mostly white, Canadians' wars? How does that help with the goal of "never again"?

I would like to speak up today for the trans community.

You see, I know a bit of what it’s like to be politically scapegoated. When Japan attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, suddenly anyone in America who had any amount of Japanese ancestry became suspect. Politicians preyed upon ignorance and fear. /1

It takes an exile from Putin’s Russia, writing about the theories of an exile from Orban’s Hungary, to cut through the noise about Trump’s America, from which we have nowhere left to run. Gift link to M. Gessen in NYT: www.nytimes.com/2024/11/15/o...
