I’ve always been very fond of Miriam Ellis’ paintings that have hobbits in them.

So to hear that she has a new art book dedicated to her hobbit art has me very excited! I’ll try to be more wise in my spending so I can get myself a copy of this!

Based on the tally of all the votes I got across my socials, I’ll be drawing Oz-themed Valentine’s Day cards for this year! Please look forward to them!

Though since quite a lot voted Tolkien, I think I’ll make a couple Tolkien-themed cards too!
The results of my polls posted across my various social media, asking if the Valentine’s Day cards I draw this year should be Oz-themed or Tolkien-themed. The tally of all the votes shows that Oz won with a total of 21 votes, with Tolkien being very close to victory with 20 votes.

At first I was gonna ask where Pippin was, but then I saw the rather tall gentleman holding the hand of a fair hobbit maiden and thought, “Oh, there he is!”

Then that means the other tall hobbit amidst the crowd to the left must be Master Meriadoc!

This is actually one of my personal favorite artworks featured in this year’s calendar!

It is appropriately somber, and yet I cannot help but see the nobility and honor in the fallen but redeemed Boromir!
