Míriel, the last faithful ruler of Númenor, & Elendil, heir to the Lord of Andúnië, would be anchors to each other maybe but Gil-Galad saw only one rise above the raging seas. How Elendil’s heart was torn into two is a lost tale to me.

(1/2) Many depictions of Sauron’s fair form in Númenor typically have him clean-shaven, looking ethereal, and/or with light-colored hair.

My depiction however’s based on a Reddit comment I once read that imagined Sauron to look “messianic” when he appeared before the Númenóreans.

Frodo and Sam watch as Gollum falls into the fires of Mount Doom, the One Ring still in hand.

With the destruction of the Ring, Sauron is at last defeated. And so ends Tolkientober (even though I’m quite late for this)!
