I voted to increase the local library tax. You can probably figure out the rest.

Phoned Speaker Johnson’s office at 202-225-4000 to tell his staff that I support Hakeem Jeffries’ delay of the House vote on the Big Budget Scam Bill. I also asked that all Republicans give up their health insurance that we pay for since it is inconsequential.

DIYers Celebrate Pride Month

The Jacksonville, FL LGBTQ+ community & supporters provide a powerful example of many individuals shining as one for Pride & lighting up a municipal bridge with handheld lights for 20 minutes in defiance of hatred. To paraphrase Richard Dawkins, love works, bitches.

Every member of Congress needs to see and hear this. @maddow.msnbc.com please invite the woman in the video on your show.
Make this go viral!

We need to rename “DOGE”. 1. DOGE is not a department because Congress establishes departments. 2. DOGE’s mission is not identifying waste, fraud, and abuse, DODE actually is wasteful, fraudulent, abusive, and illegal. Language matters. Let’s name it for what it really is and does. Suggestions?

Why are US tax payers paying El Salvador $6 million/year to incarcerate people deported by Trump Administration? Typically US repatriated people, deported them to their country of origin and US had no prison costs to pay. What is the real reason for the El Salvador prison agreement made by Trump?

I phoned all of the Dem senators and the two Independent senators, Sanders & King, to say that I expect them to oppose the Continuing Resolution. Please phone Dem and Independent senators and tell them to vote no on the CR. Call volume to Senate is high, most times you will leave a VM. Please call.

I just phoned my senators. Thanks AOC.
🚨 Everyone needs to call their Dem Senator right now. They are starting to cave.

Tell them:
1. Vote NO on Cloture
AND
2. Vote NO on the Republican spending bill.

Don’t let them pivot to reconciliation. GOP doesn’t need Dem votes on that and they know it.

TODAY is the showdown.

I heard about the “3.5%” ruleThe BBC article is the first article I have read about it. The BBC article provides links to additional relevant articles.
If there aren't any local, maybe think about organizing one. Others might be waiting for that too.

"Nonviolent protests are twice as likely to succeed as armed conflicts – and those engaging a threshold of 3.5% of the population have never failed to bring about change."
The '3.5% rule': How a small minority can change the world

RepThomas Massie (R)(KY-4) was the only Republican in the House to vote against the budget resolution. I phoned his office, 202-225-3465, to thank him for his vote and his courage. In the convo with Massie staff, I referenced this Vanity Fair article. Violence is not ok. Support Rs who oppose Trump.

I admire this anon person in Alt National Parks, who live-posted today as Musk people broke into the USAID office and illegally took machines and data. They showed me that making it public creates friction. Refusing to normalise creates friction, so I'm sharing it. bsky.app/profile/altn...
It’s official: Elon Musk’s staffers have now illegally obtained classified information from the USAID office.

Here’s a recap of what’s happening:

I read that my state’s Attorney General had joined the other states in the lawsuit against the Felon regarding the funding freeze. I phoned the AG’s office to say thank you. The person who took my call said they received many complaints for joining the lawsuit. Thank your AG if they participated! ❤️

I like Presidents who lead.

I like Presidents who hold themselves accountable.

I like Presidents who love the United States because they love Americans, all of us.
