Ze Frank is the best, and "the Goffin's cockatoos make the New Caledonian crows look like Old Caledonian crows" (this it's an actual comment on YouTube!)

Don't miss this video about our work at the Goffin Lab (and the Tanimbar Lab!)

"I've seen a cockatoo. I've seen a cockatoo 🤘"

We had a most wonderful time @uparisnanterre.bsky.social and the opportunity for catching up with old friends and making new ones 🙌
Thanks so much for the opportunity 🫶
Back from the #SFECA #conference at @uparisnanterre.bsky.social! Grateful for the opportunity to present our work on wild #Goffins 🙏 It was an inspiring event filled with diverse research, a welcoming vibe, and great food/conversations – simply the French l’art de vivre 🙂

A while back @bmioduszewska.bsky.social and I did a bit with the fabulous @drracheldale.bsky.social and Megan Lambert, that you can check out here. As I’m lazy with my socials, they already have an new episode out with @goatswhostare.bsky.social… Also very worth listening to 👍
Why did some birds evolve to be so clever? Mark O'Hara & Berenika Mioduszewska took on the challenge of studying wild Goffin's cockatoos on a small Indonesian island.
Their exciting findings help answer that question.

Anyone interested in doing research in Indonesia?
The Indonesian National Institute for Research and Innovation (BRIN) has an open call for visiting researcher positions.
Deadline is 22.11., but I think these calls will be recurring annually.
