Fall in northern Arizona is worth the drive!

The aspens turned gold and I so had to go to #Flagstaff it was worth leaving the beaten path to see these beauties on past all the harvested trees and and mud left behind. The logging road is well maintained.

🎨☕ Live art, music & community at Noley’s! I came for coffee and ended up surrounded by creativity with Justin Queal painting and locals connecting. This is what small-town culture should feel like: no kings, just community. 💕

Show up. Be part.

Found these adorable intention kits at Noley’s this afternoon 🕯️✨ handmade by Coach Velia, a local who blends magic into every set. Perfect little self-care pick-me-ups and clearing bad work juju!

📚 Spent a cozy afternoon at Noley’s in Payson and stumbled into the romance section.

Now I’m wondering… is this the fall I finally give in to the charm of small-town love stories and mysterious strangers with tragic pasts... In print, of course?

Basslines and brushstrokes collided at Solar Injected Art 🎸🌄
Noley’s transformed into a trippy sonic gallery where every riff echoed the colors on the wall. Local talent, local soul, great drinks.

#SupportLocalMusic: Sol De Ville brought the house down at Noley’s! Small-town sets bring the perfect energy for a Friday afternoon.

I think this weekend I may head into Payson for a night of music and drinks with Sol De Ville at Noley’s. Worth every mile.

I came. I saw. I snacked. They say the proof of the pudding is the eating. What better way to advertise a cook book than free samples. The #localauthor, Leonie Dobbins, is the same person who sold me the piece of cake for the warming center bake sale. #booksky

I picked up a beautiful #coloringbook hand drawn by #ArizonaAuthor R. A. Douhitt and a hand colored bookmark at the #PaysonAZ book fair.

It wouldn't be an Arizona event without prickly pears! Author Jane Ruby brought #homemadejam to the #PaysonAZ book fair in addition to her three books.

Casino Carpets and #ArizonaAuthors! Because nothing says "literary pilgrimage" like navigating through rows of slots and cigarettes.

So excited for the local #bookfair tomorrow! I didn't really know what to expect, but that's what makes it exciting.

ICE wants to send 5,000 people to Alligator Auschwitz. They can't even adequately care for 400.

One maggot-infested meal a day, little water, no medical care, bible confiscated. This is the first week!

When propaganda stops pretending to be subtle it moves to #PaysonAZ. This isn’t about solutions to actual issues. It’s about spectacle, fear, and dehumanization served cold.

The local #PaysonAZ warming center is having a Bake Sale outside Safeway. Homemade cupcakes for $2, fantastic cake for $3! It's an investment in my community, I tell myself.

Mini-adventure of the weekend: Pancakes in a fire shed in Water Wheel

I might have to go back up for the BBQ and check out the waterside.

I can't find my old favorite sourdough at the grocery store, but I must say the local sourdough is fantastic! I might go get a pastry at Farmer's Market from Arizona Bread Company for breakfast on Sunday. The bread is fantastic with plum jam!

The Farmer's Market opened last weekend and I'm finally getting around to trying the plum jam that I purchased from Sonoran Scavenger.

It's the end of the Arizona #citrusseason so I might make some orange juice this weekend. Maybe brunch is in my future?

Casting on a new #knitting 🧶 project, a gift for someone who definitely deserves a hand knit. I've got my snacks, my dinner planned, and some great music. Anyone else trying to do some self care this Saturday?

Asking for a friend: does having your circulars break in the middle of a #knitting project then having the project just self frog count as a reason to just go back to bed and call it a day... 🧶😩🛏️

I've made it through the middle of my second musselburgh. Going to #knit and check out a local "alternative" band tonight. #supportlocalmusicians or at least get some knitting done. 🧶

The view from my #Hilton room is definitely worth coming for. I guess I know why the curtain was so broken...

Definitely glad I bought that cheap little #blacklight.

Time to close out the weekend by trying to make some progress on my WIP and listening to music. Time to #knit the Sunday scaries away! 🧶
