Josh Rogin was spot on calling out Bill Maher on @realtimers.bsky.social — saying the dinner was a PR stunt and Maher was a fool for playing the pawn.

Bah — American shows can never just go all the way there!!

Lochlan should’ve remained dead…

Backing someone like Musk who has cachet is a lazy man’s maneuver.

You’re co-opting their brand to promote yourself.

Seriously, what am I watching here?

Phrases that stand out:

- legacy media
- getting back to our roots
- similar to X
- out of touch with mainstream discourse
- we're in a new era now
- trust + safety are moving to Texas!
- We're going to work with President Trump

What if Charity Shouldn’t Be Optimized?
The recent trend in philanthropy has been to look for the most bang for your buck. Maybe you don’t have to.

#CSR, though neither a complete solution for #employeeengagement nor #socialimpact, has cast a light upon the operational importance of engaged employees even as it fails to deliver it. Will VC funders push them to move away from social impact and be subsumed by HR?
