Happy Halloween! I was distracted at a conference today, so here are some candies commonly enjoyed around the Night Parade. Sugar skulls, candied meal worms, and more!

The final mainstay ingredient is blood. The question is: whose? The imbiber’s own is best, but the more similar it is to your own the better. Your average maker will use pig’s blood, but vegan alternatives are available in the form of Dragon Blood tree sap or silphium.

The next ingredients of healing potions are simply fresh air and water. Modern manufacturers are often attached to desalination systems and large air filters, but one will find that most effective potions are brewed by old women living in untouched wilderness.

This is my attempt at a landscape with a river running in the foreground, backed by a cliff, the plains above, and a hill/mountain in the background. I have never drawn any of these things, nor any kind of depth. Everything considered, I think it could've gone a lot worse, but I'll certainly be doing a lot differently next time.

Laypersons will call any large reptile a dragon. Real dragons commit tax evasion.

Any magic poorly cast might cause harm to the caster, but transmuting precious metals is especially volatile. The result is almost certainly that the caster will lose their mind and become a wyrm.

I have no idea why I decided to draw a dragon like this, but it's almost certainly been done before. The thought behind using magenta and cyan as the outline rather than black was to give it a more mystical-vibe, but I have no idea if that has actually been accomplished.

Professional guilds are essentially labor unions which arose in response to necromancy in the work force. While membership simply requires dues, advancement within the guild, for better or worse, is largely based on seniority and professional skill.

I've finally finished a hex map for an odd "Over the Garden Wall" inspired D&D campaign I'm running soon. If you ever want to attempt something similar: put rivers on the edges of tiles, not through the middle. There are too many paths to map.

It's a common misconception that laypersons believe vampires to be weak to sunlight. Vampires absorb all light, and thus they appear as wiry, winged silhouettes. The "weakness" is just a tendency to overheat.
