Been a while since I drunk posted 🥃, so here you go. You are all perfect, beautiful people who are worthy of love. If anyone gives you a hard time at Thanksgiving tomorrow, just say, “I bet you’d be prettier if you smiled.”

Now that I've got it into my head, I think we really need to convince Ozgood Perkins to make the film version of @sarahgailey.bsky.social 's "Just Like Home."

Ozgood Perkins directing a film adaptation of anything by @haileypiperfights.bsky.social or Sarah Gailey’s “Just Like Home.”
If you were a despotic president, what movie would you force Hollywood to make? I want to see Quentin's Star Trek movie or maybe Kill Bill Vol 3.

SO and I watched a really entertaining B-movie last night called "Hollywood Chainsaw Hookers" (1988, Shudder). If you love boobies and blood, I highly recommend it.

KEEP SHARING YOUR STORIES about increased ACA premiums due to the disappearance of subsidies. The stories clearly are having an impact, they help people feel less helpless, and they create solidarity that leads to action.

Mine went from $395→ $821. What happened for you?

I survived my Worst Day of the Year yesterday, which is the day after we all get our Covid vaxes. Body aches, chills, mild fever, fatigue. But this year was less horrible than previous years, and 17YO even came out of his gaming hole to watch Star Wars with me on the couch. It's a post-vax miracle!

I just unloaded a HUGE burden from my life: I canceled Thanksgiving.
I've hosted for 27 years now and I'm tired. 2025 has been rough (for all of us) and I can't summon the energy for all that prep, cooking, hosting, and cleaning.

We had a mandatory all-staff viewing of Guillermo del Toro's "Frankenstein" over the weekend. We are now pleased to announce that we will be moving the podcast HQ from the dungeons to this magnificent tower on a cliff. (Hopefully with Oscar Isaac and Jacob Elordi still in it.)

I love the cutie pie little trick-or-treaters, but the teens always have the most creative costume ideas and are the most grateful for getting candy. Some of the teens who came to my door last night had Hollywood-level sfx makeup, and I told them so.
