Almost became a librarian but school placement put me off. All that silence, near piety. Thankfully libraries have changed, but has the wider public perception?

Just to introduce an English flavour into what seems like an American dominated realm at the moment ...gorgeous winter scene at Grasmere in Cumbria aka the Lake District. And so quiet, almost as quiet as maybe as when Wordsworth wrote Home at Grasmere .
