Shocked to be in my 84th year. Lifelong blue voter, though I don't post or comment about politics, just cats, nature, photos, gardens, food. Buddhist, lapsed meditator, but still trying (often failing) to live the teachings of the Dhamma. Go Ducks!

I see a lot of new followers recently, mostly politically-oriented. Am I on a starter list for blue voters? If you are wondering why I haven't followed you back, I do not post about politics and will not follow people who do. I prefer not to be on any starter lists. It's not personal.
It was just frosty, only slippery on bridges for the most part. No real ice. But yes, I was very careful.

I think we need to look at it more carefully when trying to photograph it. I know I really see it better when evaluating for pictures.

Thanks. I love how every time I'm over there the weather is different, even if only slightly different.

Thank you! I love being out there with fog, and the frost added to that.

It feels very different, too.

Thanks. It was fun, as always, and comfortable as I dressed for the cold.
January 18, 2026 at 5:39 PM
I would do the same! It's always beautiful, from any angle, and CLEAR!

Wow. Gorgeous!

Frosty and foggy walk this morning, making for a different experience. Temp hovering around 30f. Only one other lone person out there.

Wow. Snow in south Georgia! Kids must love it. I remember getting a small amount in north Georgia when I was a kid, once, and all the excitement that involved. It was rare back then. I grew up to teenage there, only saw it once.

I used to love to cook, but have reached an age where I don't want to do it every day. So I cook enough for several meals and it really works for me nowadays.

Absolutely! I have things stashed in the freezer for quick and easy meals.

Nope. All that silliness just comes naturally to him. 😹
January 17, 2026 at 4:41 PM
I wonder that, too. He tends to look at me like I'm crazy, which may also be true.
January 17, 2026 at 1:19 PM
It makes up for the brattiness!
January 17, 2026 at 1:11 PM
Hard not to! Silly cat.

Poor old guy. I'm glad he's OK now, and I'm sure he's glad to be rid of the collar.
January 17, 2026 at 12:45 PM
A total clown!
January 17, 2026 at 12:26 PM
Was somebody sick? I'm glad order is restored. I love the line-up, all at once.
January 17, 2026 at 12:26 PM
YES! Yesterday afternoon he had my friend and I both in full-blown, unable to stop, practically ROFL laughter. We'd had a couple of glasses of wine by then, but still. He's a funny, funny boy.

Mood. Spencer agrees. Happy #Caturday

She looks lovely, and a bit bossy in the best kind of cat way. Happy #Caturday!

Purity tests are how we got the orange buffoon. Twice.

They bury acorns in the fall and look for them all summer. I pull up any sprouts or toss the acorns if I find them while digging in the bed. The squirrels haven't dug up anything of mine yet, and they are fun to watch.
