Among U23 Wingers in top-5 EU Leagues, only two come up in the top-10 for both non-penalty G/A and proportion of carries into the opposition box:
1. Lamine Yamal
2. Yan Diomandé

No wonder Leipzig are demanding are big money for Diomandé. He has started this season on fire!

Since going out to PSG, and I have excluded the last 4 PL games of last season (post title win) & the two Carabao games of this season (not important to judge).

#LFC have played 21 games in PL, UCL & 2025 Carabao Final: won 13, drawn 0 & lost 8.
Scored: 39, conceded: 31, GD: 7

Back with a tactical & data piece on how Man City's midfield overload, them allowing Konate free space to start LFC's build-up sequence and nullifying the Reds' passing threat meant they could dominate & win the game in moments.

Win the PSV home game & the Inter game is not that important in the UCL.
But, eight of the next 10 #PremierLeague games are winnable on paper for #LFC.
Make or break period for Slot imo.
Win eight of the next 10 in the league & sneak a draw at Arsenal, we would hang in there!

A tactical & data piece with in-game clips & images to explain how Arne Slot's use of Wirtz, pressing block interchange & midfield overload created problems for #RealMadrid, turning their shape into a weakness.

That & much more covered.

43% of attacks from the left, pressing efficiency, faster ball progression in #UCL compared to La Liga. Adaptable in style, as shown vs Barcelona.

All that & more in the numbers article on what #LFC can expect from #RealMadrid tomorrow.

Aston Villa tried to play game on the floor, but #LFC are a better team in that aspect.

Slot's men were efficient (got deserved luck) & went back to basics with a two-man CM buildup.

All of that discussed in my tactical analysis piece.

While #LFC spent big over the summer to improve quality, they weakened squad depth by selling big.

Arsenal added quality without major sales, & City spent decently in Jan & summer to account for key departures.

A factual article on LFC's "big summer".

Article on the numbers behind the factors that are hindering #LFC this season.

The increased focus on long balls & aerial duels is fine, but LFC have lost possession control & ball progression in build-up. A word on new signings & some perspective.

In six of the nine #PremierLeague games, #LFC have changed one, if not both, fullbacks before the 70th minute.
Talk about keeping the back four together and being hard to beat, this is a sign of something opposite.

When #Ekitike went through on goal y'day, there was no doubting him scoring (no hindsight tbh).

Despite negative xG performance last season, his big chance miss rate was lower than some of the best fwds.

S/o to my report when he signed for #LFC

A. Mac Allister averaged 4403 mins per season for club & country over the last 3 campaigns.

After a disrupted pre-season due to fitness, he has made a slow start this season.
An article below navigating through the nos behind that.

#LFC forwards data in the #PremierLeague

The forward line efficiency has gone down so far this season. They require close to nine shots per goal.

Gakpo is having close to 40% of the shots among the forwards this season. Is he our main attacker? Nope.

Tactical analysis of the #LIVMUN game is here:

- Muddled planning in the build-up: positional play confused.
- The single pivot build-up making it so open in transition.
- Set-piece issues for #LFC
- Credit Amorim for being bold.

That & much more.

Just put all the new players on the pitch and let them find the rhythm. Gakpo, Mac Allister and Salah don't make the strong XI atm (and I Love Salah as much as anyone). #LFC

Dortmund are unbeaten in 14 Bundesliga games & Niko Kovac has made Karim Adeyemi play well, but Bayern remains favs for tomorrow.

Der Klassiker will be my first go at tactically analysing a #Bundesliga game for my Substack (done #PremierLeague / #LFC games so far). [1/2]

In-depth analysis of #LFC's left wing situation:

- The Luis Diaz void unfilled (numbers say that)
- The change in role for Cody Gakpo (still adapting)
- The increased workload for Gakpo (Slot taking time with Rio)

The notion "league of late goals" has come to practice since the 23/24 season, with a massive surge in goals after the 90th minute.

5-sub rule, expanded squad depth & time-keeping rule could be the contributing factors.
