I haven't posted WIPs much, but, I'd wanted to finish this piece in time for Naru Osaka's birthday (January 1st) and I didn't have the energy (heh) so here's the progress so far. That's Nephrite in the upper left- it's several years after the series. Hopefully I'll complete it in the next few days?

Ooh I wanna know more about this AU! I'm always obsessed with the Shitennou, and I've long HC'd that they used to be a hero team before they fell. I could see Serenity sneaking around bailing Endymion out of situations, too (just, with more hilarious clumsiness than Tux). Also, love the facepaint!

They're Stickhorsey the stick-horse! They have no limbs. They and Ragatha might've been very close until they abstracted. Jax would called them "Horsestick" to test when it would auto-censor...

お試しシリウス水彩紙
紙肌少し特殊だから好き嫌い別れそう
苦手な木材パルプ紙なんだけどまだ扱いやすい気がした
薄めに塗ってるからあれだけど、色は鮮やかに出ます
下の色取れすぎないから重ね塗り&ぼかしは出来る
べっしょべしょに濡らした状態で絵具乗せると凹に絵具入り込んですごいぶつぶつした見た目になって不安だったんだけど、乾いたら問題なく消えた
薄めの水彩紙だからか最初に水吸わせまくった後に使っても結構波打つ

Time to share some commissions I got from other artists!

Naru Osaka / Nephrite (and Gurio Umino) commissions from ArundAmber; these take place post-series once they're all adults.

Naru wears a darker shirt and a long blue skirt, and her hair ribbon is adorned with some small flowers. Nephrite is wearing his classic Masato Sanjoin yellow shirt and white pants. The two of them seem to be dancing; His left arm is over her shoulder, holding her right hand, while her left hand reaches across her front to hold his right hand, and her skirt is swaying like she's spinning. They're both smiling warmly at one another; Naru is raising an eyebrow, possibly saying something or making a suggestion, and Nephrite seems bemused. I cannot overstate how much color detail Arund put into these pieces. The sunset lighting really sweeps across the scene highlighting the leaves of the trees and it's a really beautiful moment. Naru, Nephrie, and Umino sit on an orange-and-white-checkered picnic blanket in a grassy field near a forest. Naru wears a blue V-neck sleeveless dress (with no shirt beneath), a purple hair ribbon, a black chocker necklace with a purple gem, and a purple bracelet. Nephrite wears his yellow shirt with blue jeans and black socks. Umino wears a white shirt and fit dark-green pants. They all appear older-post series, and Umino's face is quite mature and sharp, with his eyes visible behind his glasses. In front of them is a basket containing, perhaps, bread and grapes inside, a smaller box of something else. In the center of the blanket sits a stack of papers; Nephrite is holding one of them up, gesturing to it. The papers are covered in astrological charts. Umino seems to be contemplating Nephrite's discussion of the papers, with his arms crossed and a hand to his chin. Naru watches the two of them with a smile on her face, glad to see them cooperating. ArundAmber's WIP sketch of the picnic scene. Not too much changed in this one, besides the massive amount of beautiful color detail on everything, but Naru's smile became more emphasized. A WIP pre-sketch of the Nephrite and Naru scene, featuring a different concept where they sit side by side on a bench (before Arund decided to draw them dancing). Naru sits with her legs crossed, and her right hand is on Nephrite's thigh. She smiles at him, raiding her other hand and if speaking or making a suggestion. Nephrite smiles down at her, as well. Behind them are shapes that were perhaps to be bushes or trees. I love this scene concept, too, and feel lucky to have both.

I DO have one where Naru is doing her forced smile from the start of episode 26 (the scene early in the episode where she's been staring out at the balcony after missing school for a week), and that card has Zoisite on the back, though....

It's bananas that they made a Sailor Moon trading card with Umino summarizing Naru and Nephrite's tragic relationship on the back.
