This recipe is from one of my favorite cookbooks. A perfect side dish anytime, creamy without cream, I bake mine until the top slices of potato are nice and crispy! I originally posted this recipe in 2018 & have made a few edits to it.

Salad does not have to only be made with lettuce! Here are some very popular Quinoa Salads! Not only are they popular but they are all amazing! These can be meal on their own or a side dish! The left-overs are perfect for lunches ( if there are any leftovers!)

I do not use it very much in the summer but I LOVE to use it in the fall and winter! There are more recipes on this blog so you can do a search 'Instant Pot' and they should show up! Here are a few Instant Pot recipes! If you do not have an Instant Pot, try these recipes cooking them in the traditional way! Soups in a soup pot! Other recipes in the oven!

I like to have one-pot dishes so I can just carry the food easily into the Sukkah! And then of course we need cake!

I am sure most of you have a recipe for Apricot Chicken. It has been around for a  long time. I make mine differently then the usual way. My sister, Edith, gave me the recipe probably about 34 years ago, shortly after I was married. I was very new to the kitchen & misunderstood her instructions!

Apple Walnut Arugula Salad...the apple plays beautifully alongside the slightly bitter Arugula, walnuts adding crunch & the dressing is sweet & creamy

When I was a kid, I loved kishke. Then one day I made the mistake of asking my mom what it was. HA.. For those of you who don't know, kishke is a stuffed section of cow intestines, I thought it was kind of chewy!

Well, I decided to make a chicken soup in the Instant Pot. Usually I cook my soup for hours & hours on the stove & then some more! Lots of skimming & skimming...this is how my grandmother made her chicken soup & my mom & my sisters... but I have found a new way for me!!!! This soup was so delicious...full of flavour...Unless I am going to make a lot of chicken soup for a crowd, I am going to make my chicken soup in the Instant Pot from now on!!

These are all so delicious! Perfect for Rosh Hashanah & all year!!

I'm sure there as many recipes for Challah as there are stars in the sky..well, maybe not quite but really, there are a lot of recipes. And..most people feel that their recipe is the best... and I am sure they are! This recipe is the one I use to make round Challah for Rosh Hashanah... I don't use this recipe during the year since it makes 4 round loaves or 3 twisted ones. I don't need that many every week.

Another random chicken recipe I have found in my mom's old recipe box.. titled Chicken, excellent & sticky! Funny! So I decided to call it Sweet & Sticky Chicken Truth is that sometimes simple recipes are just delicious! Quick to prepare, just mix up some bought ingredients & bake! That is exactly what this Sweet & Sticky Chicken is ! The original recipe calls for Peach jam, I could only find Apricot jam so I am putting both options in the recipe. I served this chicken with crispy roast potatoes but rice would be an excellent choice too ...

It is hard to decide which one of these Plum Cakes to make! I try to make one of each during the fall season! A perfect addition to any holiday dessert table! Leftovers are fantastic with a cup of tea or coffee!

I love to make Honey Cookies for Rosh Hashanah , the Jewish New Year. They are sweet, coated with sugar which makes them crunchy on the outside, chewy inside & just plain delicious

With the Jewish New Year coming soon I like to prepare some dishes in advance. Noodle Kugels are perfect for this! Bake the Noodle Kugels & when they are finished cooking, let them cool , then cut them into the desired size you want the pieces to be.  These Noodle Kugels are not just for Jewish tables, they are wonderful for everyone! It seems like this summer went. by very fast for me at least! Here are a few recipes for snacks and cookies you can make ahead, toss in the freezer to put into lunch boxes, your own lunch or anytime you want a delicious snack!! These energy balls have allergens in them. some nut & sesame, adjust the recipe as needed! I have added a couple recipes using peanut butter so if you can not send these to school they make a delish after school snack at home!

There were so many lovely Zucchini Muffins at the farmers market this weekend so we bought 2 big ones. this recipe used up 3/4 of one! I like the website King Arthur Baking and I use it often, I find that the recipes work, I have only. had one recipe that did not. The recipe I used is The Shipyard Galley's Zucchini Muffins The recipe says to add nuts and raisins or currants but I was giving some of them away to a friend so left all of those additions out.

I have been wanting to make this cake for such a long time but just never did! Until yesterday!

Here are some delish recipes to use with all the Peaches that are at the Farmers Markets, Grocery Stores & Costco! The Peaches at Costco have been amazing! ( the picture I am using of the peaches was generated by AI!!) All the food pictures are mine! Each of these recipes are worth ,making! Try all three! you can freeze any of them. Pull them out when you want a taste of summer!

I love a grain salad & this Quinoa Salad is one of our favs! The dressing is from Bon Appetite & is just delicious.
