I spotted this blog post on the other site - a great example of the impact of *effective* flash card use. And I love the idea of getting Year 7 to make flash card organisers in DT!

#Sale shopping on Boden and noticed an extra discount for teachers - bonus 🥳

Spent 20 minutes proving I’m actually a teacher only to find it’s 20% off full priced items only! 🤬🤦‍♀️ #NotApplicable

Great opportunity for using a T-test with A level classes (seen on the other site but I’m not using it now!) @chatbiology.bsky.social

Teaching chemistry for the first time in a long while so had a flick through this excellent book - the diagrams from @adamboxereducation.bsky.social were on my board the next day! Would definitely recommend Cracking Key Concepts in Secondary Science @chatchemistry.bsky.social

I came across this A level biology question and I genuinely cannot think of any examples of a reflex arc helping to find food or a mate. @chatbiology.bsky.social @edwardsdr2.bsky.social (it’s from your resources ) @kfbiology.bsky.social @stemybanda.bsky.social Any ideas??!

A classic example in biology is when students apply human chromosome numbers to all genetics questions - e.g. thinking that 23 or 46 is important and not that the number halves in meiosis.

Humans = relatable context but also leads to misconception

@chatbiology.bsky.social can you think of others?
Really interesting new study on worked examples which underlines just how easy it is to get things wrong and end up in lethal mutation territory 🧵

I had more or less given up on Twitter for anything useful so thought I’d move over here to see if the rumours were true! Is it as positive as people are saying? 🤞
