SOOTHING BIRD FACT 🐦

The only birds with truly green feathers are the turacos, which produce a unique coppery pigment called turacoverdin. All other "green" birds create the color through light's interaction with their feathers' molecular structure.

Black-crowned night heron (Nycticorax nycticorax) a bird with a black shiny crown, white eye ring, red eyes and black iris. White cheek, throat and wings with shades of greys. Black bill with a highlight of white at the tip of the upper mandible. Leaves in the foreground with black stripes like patterns with white highlights. Blurr background with black fading patterns. Made few grey toned papers few months back. The process making my own grey toned paper was interesting and a good learning experience. One can make cool greys or warm greys, depending on one's own preference. I get to watch these birds in the middle of the city and at one of the common visited parks in Bangalore. Cubbon Park is centrally located and one of the most visited park how these birds have adapted to urbanization is amazing. Title: Night Heron Study!
