I think for Kaeya, it really was "I loved you since the first time I saw you". Coming from the darkness of Khaenri'ah, and meeting Diluc who greeted him with the brightest, warmest of smiles, of course he felt love for the first time, even if he didn't know its name then.

Being from Mondstat, Thoma was a bit weirded out when Ayato first asked if he would clean his ears. He thinks Ayato is messing with him and scolds him for trying to get Thoma to do everything for him. Ayato doesn't hide his disappointment but doesn't press the issue either and that's that.

I love the idea of whore-passing Kaeya. Everyone thinks he's fucked half of Mondstat in the time Diluc was away, but the truth is he didn't want to do it with anyone but Diluc.

My perhaps most important klk headcanon is that Diluc forgave Kaeya a long time ago, whereas Kaeya never truly blamed Diluc for how he reacted That Night. The only thing that keeps them from reconciling is that neither is yet able to forgive himself for hurting the other
