This research shows that radical right parties don't start with the "left behind": higher income voters break the stigma first, then the working class follows. This shows why it's so important to contest the radical right narratives early on.
Radical-right parties are often linked to the “left-behind”. But supporting them when stigma is strong is costly. So who is willing to pay that cost early on, before it’s normalized?

In my new WP, I argue that breaking political norms is socially stratified. 🧵👇

Honored to have my work on the CWM featured by the EUI. On this 8th of March, it’s more important than ever to reflect on the radical struggles of women who fought against capitalism, fascism, racism, and colonialism—and, above all, for liberation, not just for themselves, but for all.
💬 "Women’s liberation is not a standalone issue [..] it depends on the power of collective, international resistance."

On #IWD2025 @minjabujakovic.bsky.social @eui-history.bsky.social explores the Communist Women’s Movement & its relevance to today’s #emancipation struggles.

Who joined, who stayed? 🔴 Women who embraced communism vs. 🟡 those who remained in socialist movements. At the workshop organized by CDHM at the Geneva Graduate Institute, I’ll use prosopography & digital tools to map their networks, personal trajectories, & political choices.
