When we published this a year ago, no one was sure what we world we were going to wake up to. A year later and we live in a very different world, but the misunderstanding and weaponization of Romans 13 is just a prevalent today as it was last year.

One thing the past three months have made clear. The need to have an enemy may be the hardest thing for people to let go of. Whether it’s Muslims, the left, the right, the poor, the disabled, the immigrant, or even ICE. This need to have a hero to slay is the common factor.

Odd how many people I’ve seen saying that kids shouldn’t be fed because “mom should have kept her legs closed” suddenly wanting children to suffer for the supposed sins of their parents, but also throw a fit about how they weren’t the slave holders & so reparations aren’t needed.

The amount of Christians just openly admitting that they feel like the government is forcing them to feed other people, & thats the reason that they don’t feed people now is heartbreaking. If you feel like government welfare is a burden on you, the power money brings is your idol

This is why it’s important the church talk about persecution correctly. Why we need to talk about the Crusades correctly. Why we need to make plain that CN is nothing but a weaponized antichrist movement that is an enemy of the cross. This can’t happen.

One of the most impactful changes I have made over past few years was switching to using a #Tanakh, to study & read the OT. The differences are subtle from Christian English Translations, but they are impactful, especially with the Rabbinical commentary included with it.
