Good morning, my friend! The neighbors were hanging around. Ran out to warn them-“T’giving is 1 week away! Make like fast food & get moving! No time to baste! Stay ahead of the carve or suffer fowl play!” They didn’t listen, said it’s “Much ado about stuffin’ so give peas a chance.” Sigh. I fried.🤷‍♀️

Good morning, my friend! Every #FriYay I invite you to #mygarden for a #respite. Yesterday we brought in deck pots for the winter, tho’ my crazy #flowers don’t care it’s a cold #November! And “delicate” #roses are holding strong, laughing at adversity. Bloom where you’re planted, no matter what.💪
Found a pansy in full bloom in one if my strawberry pots! Tropical mandevillas still blooming!! The geraniums are now tucked under the basketball hoop. The leaves are yellowing but the flowers are going strong! The roses not only continue to bloom, but they are still sending out buds! There are many more rose bushes in full bloom but I liked this shot that shows the contrast to leaves changing colors and falling.

The program for the kickoff ceremonies for Italian-American Heritage Month in Massachusetts. (L to R): TV chef/author/philanthropist Lidia Bastianich; business leader/entrepreneur/philanthropist Emilia Fazzalari; and David Caprio, accepting the honor for his late father, Hon. Judge Frank Caprio. Also honored last night, several young students who won scholarships for excelling in Italian language programs. Program booklet for last night’s ceremonies. Inside was a list of great events around the state scheduled for every day this month. Most are free, like today’s flag raising ceremony at Noon at Boston City Hall Plaza.

Good morning, my friend! Sharing a #weekend #adventure w/you! Hubs is a lifelong #vintagepen collector. We went to the #CommonwealthPenShow Saturday for the 1st time! Gorgeous pens (I held a $30k sterling & crystal pen) and met a longtime social media friend! (clic on pics for more) Ink-credible!✍️✒️
The annual Commonwealth Pen Show this past weekend at the Somerville Armory was packed with vintage pen fans! In addition to seeing & buying pens, you could also bring malfunctioning pens to be fixed. This craftsman drilled and buffed nibs to cases! I got so happy when I saw flavored cannolis. Alas, not pastry, but rather handcrafted pen holders/cleaners. Very pretty & classy, despite not being edible. We were so happy to meet the wonderful Neil and Victoria Lander of Neil’s Pens! Longtime social media followers of mine! Follow him! ✒️✍️
