It's wild how we live in a country where, when you are old, all your life savings go to letting you live longer. Our lifelong investments won't be inherited by our kids, they'll be liquidated to pay medical bills. Our kids will inherit nothing.

I recently got Dwarf Fortress (the ascii version) working in Linux. But I was immediately discouraged to play, knowing that my game will forever be limited by the edges of the map.
In #gamedev I can go create a game that doesn't have those limits; but creating it brings a whole new set of challenges

I'm stuck on #gamedev. I need to install the LAMP stack. I got Apache2 installed just fine. And I got MySQL installed while using Mint-Cinnamon. But now I'm using Q4OS, MySQL is refusing to install, insisting on me using MariaDB instead.
Anyone with knowledge in #database or #linux know how to help?

I think I'll share a #recipe I did recently:
Dehydrated cucumber chips
Directions: Cut cucumbers into thin slices. Dehydrate at 130F for 8-10 hours
Results: Totally awful. No taste, with the texture of plastic. Nobody likes them. Not even the guinea pig. Not even the dogs! Not recommended.

They even had to MAKE a scandal! They couldn't get over him wearing a tan suite!

Here's an idea: What if we convinced Trump that he has to fudge the stock market numbers before they plummet? The #economy is obviously going downhill, it's going to happen anyway; if he fudges the numbers, would the people in the stock market turn against Trump then?

I am to a part in #gamedev of Settlers & Warlords that always seems hard: Adding the ability to cut down trees.
But the reason that it is hard is because the world generation regarding trees changes, each time I get to this point. So I have to code a new solution, instead of relying on old code. ->

My #gamedev of Settlers & Warlords has hit a snag. I have structures that are waiting for work, and workers that have need work, but for some reason my code doesn't trigger the workers to start working anywhere. I don't know how to fix it.

I'm trying to #gamedev my Settlers & Warlords game better this time. So I'm to the point where workers must find a tool before they can complete a job. What happens when there are no tools to do the job? The job is the next in line, searching again will give the same job back.

The news right now is that most of Trump's tariffs have been declared illegal by an appeals court, and should be stopped.
Obviously, Trump isn't going to listen, and will still try to push the tariffs on us. But... is it really up to us anyway?

At this point Cuomo has no good arguments left to be mayor, but he still thinks he's entitled to be, because... he's Cuomo. This is like elites thinking they should be in charge, because their family always has been.
