Leaving Stockholm after #WorldWaterWeek, I carried with me two feelings that don’t sit easily together: hope for what’s possible, and concern for where we are falling short.

Hello from Stockholm 👋 I’m here for #WorldWaterWeek, the biggest global gathering on water, where we come together to share ideas, challenges and solutions.

This year’s theme is all about water and climate, and how we speed up action that tackles both.

People often meet me and say, 'You must be an amazing runner.' I'm not. So far from it. I find it really hard and, to be honest, I don't really enjoy it.

If you’ve ever questioned whether you can really make a difference, ask yourself this instead:

If not me, then who?
If not now, then when?

Incredible scenes as the Seine opens for public swimming after 100 years. Just decades ago, this iconic river was declared functionally dead. Look at it now! 💙🏊‍♀️🇫🇷

#PlasticFreeJuly starts today! None of us can do everything, but all of us can do something.

The 5Rs serve as a compass, helping us rethink our relationship with plastic:

🛑 Refuse what you don’t need
➖ Reduce what you do
🔁 Reuse what you can
🔧 Repurpose creatively
♻️ Recycle only as a last resort

Word of the Day: Pluviophile 🌧️🌿

If you’ve ever smiled at the rain tapping on your roof, watched its droplets race down your window, or stepped outside just to breathe the air after it falls — this one’s for you 💧💙

Happy Mother’s Day to my awesome, beautiful, amazing Mama!

Thank you for the endless love, the pep talks, the laughs, and the way you somehow always know exactly what I need (even before I do!)

You’re my rock, my cheerleader, my heart.

Love you always, Mama

Clean water, sanitation and hygiene are the foundation of public health, but they’re still out of reach for too many people.

Over 1.5 billion people don’t have basic sanitation. Millions still defecate in the open. Nearly half of the world’s household wastewater flows untreated back into nature.

Almost exactly three years ago, I ran through Birdsville as part of our #RunBlue campaign. Back then, it was red desert – dry, hot, stretching endlessly in every direction. The town hadn’t seen rain in a while.

Restoring healthy rivers is possible - and the Vjosa River is proof.

The Vjosa River is one of Europe’s last wild, free-flowing rivers. But it was nearly lost to hydropower development, a project that risked flooding valleys, drying riverbeds, and destroying biodiversity.

But people said NO.
