Very heartening to see masses of youth engaged in pro-democracy protests, in Serbia, Hungary, Romania, Tbilisi, USA and so many other places. Authoritarianism works through trying to instill isolation and fear. Solidarity and critical resistance are powerful antidotes, and they are contagious.

The @ecpr.bsky.social Gender Study 2024 just came in. I am shocked by the numbers. Especially dramatic is the percentage of women authors published in ECPR-journals: 26% in 2024, compared to 35% in 2023. Please, don't try to fix the women, fix the @##$! system.
