I really want to capture that feeling that a lot of mecha anime in particular capture so well - that feeling towards the end of the series where you start to miss the status quo of the middle of the series where everyone was happy and things weren't so dire

I'm in this weird place now that I've finished making my first game (!!!) where I feel both satisfied that it's done and strangely listless that it's over. I know it's not truly over - it needs to be embedded into a strawpage that as of yet doesn't exist, but still I feel deflated.

I see the "Doctor Who is British JoJo" lighthearted discussion roll around every so often - I've even made the comparison as a joke myself but I actually don't think it lands because imo DW is missing some key JoJo elements

killing adobe animate makes literally no sense from a business standpoint I am floored by this news
even if I've never used it (prefer Clip Studio Paint and Moho) it's industry standard software and a lot of currently running network tv shows still use it, i'm completely baffled.

something that makes me sad is that there doesn't seem to be a decent modern equivalent of Multi Paint System's (PC98) Dither airbrush tool. It would be super useful for recreating the pc98 VN CG style :/

I’m not super worried about the FH6 dev showcase not showing off huge multiplayer lobbies or npc traffic because I distinctly remember neither of those working in FH5 until just a bit after release

So the mecha teased at the end of the forza horizon 6 direct showcase definitely looks gundam in terms of design language but I know it’s not an existing model so it’s got to be something new specifically for the game no?
Granted, my mecha knowledge doesn’t extend far beyond eva and gundam.

I think the hardest part of creating a fantasy setting, particularly for a turn based rpg, is crafting a magic system that serves both the gameplay and the narrative, and I say that because I've been stuck on mine for YEARS now

I have this as-yet undisputed theory that at least one of SEGA's big franchises has to be in trouble at all times - in the late 2010s it was Sonic, whilst Phantasy Star and RGG thrived, in the early 2020s it was Phantasy Star and now in the mid 2020s it's RGG :(

Every now and then I try to write some sort of post about Evangelion, especially now since I'm about to sit down and rewatch it, but I'm never sure what to say other than Wow watching it as a teenager changed me as a person (for the better). It's an anime that has stuck with me for life

With the announcement of the Team Chaotix narrative podcast, I want to say that I am really enjoying this push for the multimedia expansion of the Sonic series, I really think the series' world building and ensemble cast lends itself to this sort of thing
