Carbon removal company Climeworks is plotting an international expansion despite a recent round of layoffs and uncertainty over funding from the US government.

The company tells me that Canada, Saudi Arabia, Norway and the UK fit its criteria.

It's a sad day for European tech. Swedish plane startup Heart Aerospace has announced it is closing down all its European operations to fully focus on the US.

With the latest geopolitical tensions between the US and Europe, this isn't great news for Europe.

Bankrupt battery factory Northvolt was supposedly running out of cash two weeks ago. Now the company tells @sifted.eu
it has extended its cash runway.

When Northvolt filed for bankruptcy, it had enough capital to last them to the end of January. The company now says its cash runway has been extended.

Sometimes I get the chance to interview people that have done a lot early on in their careers... like Markus Villig who founded ride-hailing startup Bolt almost 12 years ago as a 19 year old. Now, Bolt is leading in about 20 countries and expects €2bn in revenue in 2024.
