World Curling has communicated "it is not possible" to have umpires observing all hog lines for every stone delivery.

Two officials move between the four games.

I've asked World Curling how they're determining who to watch and when. Will report back when I get a response.

Great Britain’s Bobbie Lammie the latest to have a rock pulled for a double touch.

The umpire said this was the infraction.

It happened in the 9th end. His rock was pulled from played.

Says the woman who disregarded evidence and medical professionals to "weaponise" children to such an extent she got necessary medical support stripped from trans young people, in a manner shown to have contributed to an increase in deaths.
She needs to sit this out.

GOLD FOR CANADA 🇨🇦

THE KING REIGNS AGAIN

MIKAEL KINGSBURY WINS CANADA’S FIRST GOLD MEDAL AT THE OLYMPICS

Kingsbury wins the men’s dual moguls. It’s his fifth Olympic medal in an incomparable career. A truly extraordinary athlete.

One of the most clutch athletes in Canadian history has done it again.

But this one, at this point of his career and life, will mean so much more to Mikael Kingsbury.

His last Olympic event. His first Olympic gold as a father. His fifth Olympic medal. Outstanding.

The TPA has already demonstrated hostility to a review before it started. They represent the rank & file, the “good apples” as they say. This can be viewed as an indication of how the “good” will cooperate with any review or investigation.

Important from @shawnmicallef.bsky.social

"Some, including Premier Doug Ford, have used variations of the “just a few bad apples” bromide. To extend this tired metaphor, if the rest of the apples appear hostile to an investigation, what should the public think about the whole bushel? Rot spreads."
In the Toronto Star I write about Toronto Police's violent corruption scandal. Will it move the needle on police reform? It's a dramatic escalation in a long history of police intimidation, bullying their critics & broken trust. I argue 3 big things have to happen, including firing this chief.
Shawn Micallef: Toronto is facing its worst police corruption scandal in decades. Here are three things that need to happen soon
The corruption revealed by Project South undermines the public trust that is the foundation of policing.

I think that call in the curling is fine, but it illustrates how hard it is as a player to tell if you double touch
