On May 6, 1976, a powerful M6.5 #earthquake struck the Friuli region in northeast Italy. The impact was devastating: around 990 dead, 45,000 people homeless in 77 villages affected by this event.

It was widely felt in neighbouring countries, especially Austria and today's Slovenia. ⚒️ 🧪 #OTD

Days are getting longer, outside, but also on this planet. Since its initial accretion, Earth's spin has been slowing down, lengthening the days. These longer days may allow for more oxygen production and carbon burial, making it habitable for the likes of us. 🧪⚒️

Seeing people saying that you just have to know how to use it as if that was enough to mitigate all the harm genAI does is infuriating.

Most people don't even know how to use a computer properly. we're already seen articles citing chatgpt as a source.

But God forbid people to not be self centered.
I am sure that you personally do not let the errors through the gate - but big tech are spending BILLIONS trying to get this used by billions of people. The default will be complacency. Its "usefulness" is exactly what makes its harm so deep, and so significant.
