I finally saw One Battle After Another (on 5-perf 70mm), and although its countless influences are hard to decipher in one sitting it’s like watching the best bits of M.A.S.H., Terminator 2, Vanishing Point, Nashville, and Putney Swope.

RIP Kari Uusitalo. Tapasin ainakin kerran työasioissa, kun johonkin kirjaan tarvittiin kuvia. Harvemmin paljon aikaansaavista miehistä jää niin miellyttävä ensivaikutelma.

I find myself reading the Bologna catalogue even on years I have no intention of visiting the festival – on any given year the most likely contender for the finest film festival in the world.
