Can a student vote in a local election while studying in another city? Asking as a student living in Wellington but from the Kaipara who is desperate to vote out the current pig in office up there.

These council elections will have massive long-term impacts. We need to focus energy on them this year. The govt has activated support for the treaty. We can protect Māori seats if we put energy into communicating how vital representation in the council is and finally turn out young people.

As much as I hate dealing with ACC, it is amazing. I broke my wrist riding an escooter down a hill while tipsy. Anywhere else in the world, I would have no income (I’m a waiter) until it heals. In NZ, I got a free Christmas holiday.
