The amount of people I know who have been laid off from games industry jobs and are deciding to leave games entirely as a result is not only extremely saddening (of course), but also genuinely scary. We have lost legitimately thousands of years of knowledge and experience in the last four years.

The fear and misinformation of socialism/communism. Persistent Islamophobia. Promoting individual freedoms over community based actions. The values of the United States has ruined a lot of us.

Iβm no Christian, Iβm an atheist, but I respected Pope Francis very much specifically for the kindness he showed to refugees. So it turns my stomach to watch some of the cruelest creatures on the planet - our political leaders - pose in their mourning black at his funeral. Vile malevolent hypocrites

Fully aware of all of that. It's just how I felt about this year's Mania. WM 39 and 40 were all-timers. This year had the impossible task of trying to follow that up. This year was far from being awful or the worst. I just walked away feeling indifferent with the event as a whole this year.

Yeah the money is too good to back to single night PLEs for the major ones. They have the roster to fill those out. I was just very underwhelmed by WM this year and when you take all the matches that were really amazing from both days, you coulda had one great event instead of two average ones.

Like outside of the political discourse, the build to WM was very standard fare. They tried too late with a lot of the story lines. And the last minute changes leading up to and during the event was giving...the old regime. WWE is back to cruise control because of the TKO/Netflix money.

The Tr*mp glazing and shitty PR over the past week from WWE may have played a part into this but this was a really lackluster #Wrestlemania. Day 2 had the better mid-card but Day 1 had the better Main Event.
The money is too good to ever go back to one night for WM but this year made a case for it.
