Hello, Bluesky! Like many others, I’ve been avoiding news and social media for the past week. But I’ve heard good things about this place and thought I’d check it out. First day and first post. Fresh starts and all that. Looking forward to finding like-minded friends here.

Nancy Pelosi did a great job as Speaker of the House. But it’s time for her (and others) to step aside and let the next generation of leaders (like AOC) take over. At least they will have the energy to fight on our behalf during the orange facist’s regime.

We will only achieve unity in America when the trump cult finally realizes their mistake and abandons him. Any other action, such as pardoning trump, intended to unify the nation will fail. Beware any call for unity from the right. What they mean is “stop resisting.” Never.

If you are saying that Biden shouldn’t have pardoned Hunter because now trump will pardon people, you haven’t been paying attention. He abused his pardon power last time and will definitely do it again. This has nothing to do with Biden’s decision.

If you are citing Laws, courts, rules and regulations, or anything else that would normally constrain a corrupt administration, you simply haven’t been paying attention. None of those mean anything to facists. They will eliminate any roadblock to implementing their plans.
