Do you want to try Seaquel?

seaquel.app -> The demo runs in the browser!

How?
• Adapter pattern for either a @tauri.app Rust or Javascript backend
@svelte.dev frontend (pick the right backend adapter, done)
@duckdb.org wasm in the browser

Does anyone have a Windows machine to test the newly signed Seaquel binary?

You should be able to install and start Seaquel without security warnings.

I'm traveling and don't have access to my Windows VM.

First half of the day, full body health check.

Second half:
• Microsoft approved my business, so I can now sign Seaquel binaries for Windows
• Implemented commercial licenses

Finally, back to regular feature development. Expect the current beta to be promoted to the latest release this weekend!

"Anthropic raises $30 billion in Series G funding at $380 billion post-money valuation"

What is the value of money anyway 😂?! Also, who's the first to raise a series AA?

In any case, the $100 I give Anthropic a month is well worth it for me.

First time I have to use the @drizzle.team ORM and I have no idea why a new table with 5 columns creates a meta JSON file with 3,455 lines.

@prisma.io certainly has its fair share of problems too, but not quite 3,455 lines of code bad 😂.

Makes me miss @remult.dev... that's the way to go in 2026.

It's not Halloween yet, but here's how you can scare a developer any time in 2026.

"Let me rewrite everything."

My buddy Alfred, the AI bot I develop for a client, now creates its own database branch on Neon for each feature it works on.

It creates the branch off the production branch, anonymizes PII data and off it goes.

Any human that reviews the code automatically uses the same database branch as Alfred!

`man cp`

You know you're about to learn something that makes you feel dumb when you open the `cp` man page...

So for anyone else who has ever written this:

[ ! -f .env ] && cp .env.example .env

Try this instead:

cp -n .env.example .env

You're welcome 😅

(check your `man cp` for compatibility)

This reminds me that even after decades of few people writing end-to-end tests, we still don't have a way to make them reliable.

@playwright.dev was my hope, but recently the vibe I got has been "we tried, but we're winding down".

Is www.jetify.com going to solve it??

Alfred, my AI bot I develop for a client, spins up ephemeral dev sandboxes with sprites.dev to get his work done.

Then, mise.jdx.dev sets up the sandboxes with all needed tools and fnox.jdx.dev provides secrets from 1Password.

Alfred then works and opens PRs.

Thank you, @jdx.dev 🙏!

TIL about moonrepo.dev/moon.

As I scrolled and scanned the landing page, I kept thinking "why not use mise.jdx.dev instead 🤔?"

Then I reached the footer and saw "Backed by Y Combinator" and my muscle memory kicked in... Cmd+W.

If you have a Node.js CLI, use Clack.

It's the one thing I miss since I started building CLIs with Rust.

Clack is beautiful, user-friendly and you get the most maintainable code I've seen when it comes to Node.js CLIs.
Exciting news—Clack v1.0 is here! 🎉

🫳 Dropped CJS distribution (the only breaking change)
🆕 Added autocomplete, taskLog, and more
🌏 Localization support
🐞 Dozens of bug fixes + performance improvements
🤗 Ecosystem alignment

This release marks stable support for our current APIs
Clack v1.0 is here!
We're thrilled to announce Clack v1.0: a stylish prompt library for JavaScript CLIs.

I'm building SHIP (Smart Headless Implementation Pipeline) for a team of ~15.

• Open Linear ticket
• Tag SHIP
• Wait (SHIP develops what's in the ticket)
• Review PR

Has anyone done that? I know Cursor has something similar, but I'm interested in in-house solutions anyone worked on 🙏.

A really neat side effect of seaquel.app is that the dark/light mode syncs between the website and the live demo 💡!

Change it on the website and the app updates and vice versa.

The beauty of @svelte.dev for the website and native app.

✅ Subqueries nested any level deep
✅ Common Table Expressions (CTEs)
✅ Tutorial with 11 lessons, 54 challenges

While I was at it, the visual query builder can now be used with your own database schema too!

Slowly but surely this is the SQL tool I've always wanted.

Tonight's project: SQL tutorials in Seaquel 🧑‍🎓

Visually create queries or write in the editor (with two-way sync) to better learn how SQL works.

For companies: Use my tutorial or create your own for team members to complete based on your needs.

Soon available at seaquel.app!

I want to try @tangled.org but why does it require all these Bluesky permissions?

A git hosting platform does not need access to my posts, likes, follows and most certainly not private preferences.

Disappointed 😔

seaquel.app Windows binaries now available in Beta (.exe and .msi).

I'm going through the process of signing the binaries, but if you want to give it a go and don't mind the security warning, check the latest beta release at github.com/webstonehq/s....
