Storyteller. Writer. Ally. Liberal. Nerd. Weirdo (but not in the Republican way). Pokemon Go trainer. He/him. Opinions strictly my own.

Oh, and once I sawr a blimp.
This is pretty accurate for my musical tastes.

Stay fresh a little longer, everyone.

My high school's class of 2000 had their 25 year reunion this past weekend. I decided not to go, since I honestly don't care to see those people and where their lives are today.

Plus, I graduated in 1998.

52 NEW MOVIES IN 52 WEEKS

Week 48: Gentlemen Broncos

A cute but somewhat long effort from the Napoleon Dynamite team, which follows a teenaged writer whose work is stolen by an established author while, at the same time, being adapted into a low budget movie.

12 DUNKINS IN 12 MONTHS

November: Sharon Hill, PA

"No ice" charge: $0

Very friendly staff at this one. I'm just happy the Halloween-themed chocolate sprinkles have disappeared from their frosted donuts.

Wow, I actually went almost a full week without needing to accept another 500MB Pokemon Go update!

12 INDIE COFFEE SHOPS IN 12 MONTHS

November: Green Line Cafe

There are a few of these sprinkled throughout Philly, but they hardly classify as a chain. This tasty iced tea I got from their location near 4th & Lombard Streets was free since I answered their daily trivia question correctly!

Kmart, Sears, and Blockbuster Video can technically all be visited as part of Small Business Saturday.

A kid staring at you, smiling, without moving is unnerving enough.

When it's a homeschooled Christian kid, though, it's particularly terrifying.

In honor of Thanksgiving, here are 4 shots of Del Griffith with no mustache.

12 FAST FOOD BURGERS IN 12 MONTHS

NOVEMBER: Shake Shack

There is a lot of flavor packed into this rather hideous-looking burger, but not enough to justify its nearly $11 price.

ME: There needs to be true wireless phone charging, like Wi-Fi.

JON: That would kill everyone.

ME: Yeah but my phone would be charged.

52 NEW MOVIES IN 52 WEEKS

Week 47: Final Destination: Bloodlines

A unique reimagining of the FD formula, with the visions of the initial catastrophe atop a 1960s restaurant tower plaguing the descendants of the visionary. And a truly perfect sendoff for Tony Todd.

I never want to be one of those "back in my day" types, but I also can't ignore the fact that, back in my day, we had Walter Matthau around.

52 NEW MOVIES IN 52 WEEKS

Week 46: Adrift in Manhattan

A cute indie film that shows off Heather Graham's acting chops. Multiple New Yorkers on a single subway line see their lives interact with one another's.

12 MOVIES IN THEATERS IN 12 MONTHS

November: Rocky Horror Picture Show

Sure, I've seen it billions of times, but there's nothing like a full crowd happily yelling at the screen as the shadow cast does its fabulous thing in the front! Ritz 5 in Philly keeps the tradition alive!

Google Photos thought that Chris Hemsworth and the creepy Burger King were the same person. Now this needs to be a movie.

(And yes, I have photos of both Chris Hemsworth and the creepy Burger King in my personal gallery, what of it?)

52 NEW MOVIES IN 52 WEEKS

Week 45: Honey Don't!

Engaging and often witty little flick about a small town detective looking into possibly connected murders. Lots of shiny people but Chris Evans steals the show as a smarmy preacher.

Forget dead trees in the Dumpster after Christmas. This, the reminder that Halloween is over, is far more depressing.
