Hearts up…

When we create a heartbeat, the pulse can be felt forever.

I’ve been very hesitant to speak at elementary schools since leaving the principal role. It felt as though the experience would be met with sadness.

After “A Heartbeat is…” released though, there was no better time than the present. My heart is full. These author visits are bringing me so much joy.

Of course I remember!

I still have my “dorkish streak” and I encourage you to never rid of yours.

Every laugh. Every smile. Every picture he drew. Every interaction. They all led to this message twelve years later.

What we do matters. Be the heartbeat.

I’d love to speak to students and families too. The importance a sense of belonging carries can’t be overstated.
