Sorry but, on this ship, this is the standard uniform for Ensigns who still wet the bed.
To get a more 'mature' uniform; You have to be able to make it all the way through your shift without needing a bathroom break.
Now lay on the changing table, you're late for your shift.

Yep, this is so similar to the experience I lived! Love the cute cartoon!
My story:
Weirdly enough, some of my earliest memories involve diapers. For whatever reason, I was potty trained very late. I was 5 (if I’m doing the math right) and have vivid memories of the process. So that probably contributed to it.
