Pericles would rather not talk about his real name, Periklestos. He much prefers Pericles. But also rejects Peri also it makes him sound juvenile. He also doesn’t like to talk about his feelings towards Atalanta, though that changes once they marry.

Arkas usually wears boots because he had a rough life at sea. Since he’s no longer a pirate, he still wears boots to traverse rough and rocky terrain.
