Professor at Rockefeller University working on phage lysins as novel therapeutics to kill antibiotic resistant bacteria. We’re the first labs to use this novel approach. One of our lysins was the first antibiotic alternative to safely complete phase 2.
We just published a new paper in Antibiotics describing the use of a lysin-derived peptide to control acne. The only non-antibiotic drug that kills the C. acnes organism on contact.

Phage lysins are novel antibiotic alternatives that kill antibiotic resistant bacteria. They are a more effective antimicrobial, since resistance to lysins has not been seen during years of development. They are the most advanced antibiotic alternative in the pipeline.
