I write and talk about Sunderland in my spare time. Usually for the Wise Men Say Podcast. Also post a lot about a felled tree in Northumberland!🍀
My ending may seem a bit flippant but tried a bit a of a detailed look at our start to the season and why we’re so mint these days. Enjoy🔴⚪️

Doesn’t seem like five minutes since I’d have legitimately taken Neil Warnock as Sunderland manager. Tomorrow I am looking forward to Manchester United away and while I don’t expect a result I’m confident and thinking we have nothing to fear. Ha’way the lads!🔴⚪️

Much to my dismay I can’t locate Newcastle United’s post match dressing room photo? Can anyone point me in the correct direction?

Sunderland AFC Premier League points in August and September 2025: 11

Sunderland AFC Premier League points in August and September 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016 combined: 9

Last time #SAFC had as many points after six top flight games was 1967 (adjusted to three points for a win)

Fantastic half Sunderland. Defensively resolute as ever but created the two best chances of the game, Arthur Masuaku been the weak link but Enzo has provided him great protection. Angeball will give us chances the longer this goes on as well🙏🏼

Never thought I’d see the day where I celebrate a Surrey win! Whether Durham stay up or not it’s been a disaster of a season and big change is needed before next season, primarily need a bowling attack with at least possibility of taking 20 wickets.

We might lose on Saturday, we might lose at Old Trafford the weekend after but isn’t it nice to be heading into Premier League games not fearing anyone and thinking we’ve got a good chance of a positive result? Can’t remember the last time I felt so positive and optimistic about Sunderland.

Dunno if anyone uses this anymore but I have now come off Twitter. Quite good being a Sunderland fan right now innit? Fantastic, resilient performance with ten men, good result and can tell how much the fans are on board with everything we do right now! Ha’way the lads!

I have written quite frankly too many words on our rise from the lowest point in our history to returning to where we belong. Crack open a can and give it a read❤️🤍
